A Letter to Veteran Homeschoolers

Dear Veteran Homeschool Mom & Dads,

We Need You!

After years on this rewarding yet demanding journey of educating your children at home, we know you need community and deserve a little self-care as you move on to this new season of life.  But you also possess incredible wisdom and experience to change families’ lives.

Legacy Homeschool Resource Center seeks to celebrate ALL the seasons of homeschooling – from wide-eyed beginners to seasoned mentors like you. We create space for you to enter into a meaningful role, pouring your hard-earned knowledge into the next generation.

LHRC provides:

  • A peer community that relates to the triumphs and trials of long-term schooling at home
  • Leadership opportunities to guide new parents as mentors
  • Avenues to leave your legacy by sharing the lessons you’ve learned

Your involvement will shape so many families just starting out. Walk alongside them to offer empathy, insider tips, wisdom, and warnings you wish you had. Make connections through our community events and parent gatherings.

We need you – your warmth, transparency, battle scars, and victories. So when you need inspiration again, pay it forward to inspire hopeful beginners. Join us, veteran homeschooler – because of you, more will stay the course with hope.

At the heart of Legacy Homeschool Resource Center lies our commitment to family discipleship, rooted in the biblical family model where parents are the primary educators (Deuteronomy 6:7), guiding their children in the path of faith and knowledge. At LHRC, families will encounter the love of Christ through a holistic approach encompassing academic programs, artistic expression, physical fitness, exploration of creation, unwavering support, fervent prayer, a tight-knit community, and a wealth of educational resources.

Legacy Homeschool Resource Center is a place where homeschool families can find a supportive community to join them in educating and discipling the next generation of Christ-followers.

Modeled after Jay and Heidi St. John’s successful organization, Firmly Planted HRC, our dream is to plant a center right here in the heart of Middle Tennessee.

What We Do:

LHRC exists to equip and connect homeschooling families. From classes, to counseling, to coffeeshop talks, we intend to empower families at every stage of homeschooling.
