Three women homeschool educators co-founded Legacy Homeschool Resource Center, a ministry with a mission deeply rooted in the principles of family discipleship, community, and faith.
We shared a vision for a comprehensive, full-time (5 days a week) Christ-centered homeschool resource center. We recognized a growing need for a nurturing community and robust support system.
Empowering Families Through the Homeschool Resource Center
Our primary goal is to offer an innovative educational experience and an unwavering support system to empower homeschooling families. We designed our services to cater to families with children of all ages and diverse stages of development.
At the heart of LHRC lies our commitment to family discipleship, rooted in the biblical family model where parents are the primary educators. We will support families through a holistic approach encompassing academics, arts, fitness, nature, support, prayer, community, and resources.
Providing Holistic Support and Resources
Additionally, we aim to provide holistic support and resources to homeschooling families, including:
- A welcoming facility for families to gather, learn, and build community together
- A robust curriculum library with diverse educational materials
- Enrichment programs in areas like music, art, foreign language, physical education
- Field trips for hands-on learning experiences
- Parent training on topics like learning styles, teaching methods, home organization
- Support groups and networking for parents
- Mentorship programs pairing new homeschooling parents with experienced mentors
- Guest speakers on relevant homeschooling topics
- Community outreach initiatives putting our faith into action
Envisioning a Nurturing Home Away From Home
We envision Legacy Homeschool Resource Center as a warm, nurturing home away from home for families – a place where they can be fully supported, equipped and empowered to provide their children with an excellent education rooted in biblical values. We are dedicated to making this vision a reality and serving homeschooling families with excellence.
