Legacy HRC Nature Co-Op
Join the Adventure! Legacy’s Nature Co-op is back this fall—and registration is now OPEN! We’ll meet on select Thursdays at the Wilderness Station in Barfield Park for hands-on, nature-based learning and outdoor fun. From river ecology and archery to birds of prey and outdoor cooking, each session brings something new to explore. Open to K–high school students. Space is limited—first 60 students to register are in!

Description: Registration is now OPEN for our fall Nature Co-op that will kick off in August! We meet on select Thursdays at the Wilderness Station at Barfield Park in Murfreesboro for nature-based learning and outdoor fun!
Fall Schedule & Topics:
- Aug. 21: River and Forest Explorers: water and ecology study (younger students) and archery lessons and games (older students)
- Sept. 11: Decomposers and Insects Study
- Oct. 2: Songbirds and Birds of Prey Study
- Oct. 30: Face Your Fears – All Things Creepy and Crawly
- Nov. 20: Animal Nutrition and Outdoor Cooking
- Dec. 18: Animal Stations and Campfire Marshmallow Roast.

In addition to our Nature Co-op, Legacy offers two more dynamic learning options this fall:
- Legacy Learning Days – Join us on select Tuesdays for hands-on classes, drop-in workshops, tutoring, and parent support opportunities.
- Wednesday Tutorial Classes – Weekly academic classes led by experienced teachers, perfect for families looking for structure and support in core subjects.
