LHRC Nature Co-Op – Spring 2025

Legacy Homeschool Resource Center is proud to partner with The Wilderness Station at Barfield Park to offer hand-on classes in:

• Week 1 – February 28th – Blending the science and beauty of nature (includes art lesson, sun/solar printing and fossil rubbing activities)

• Week 2 – March 21st – Murphree Springs Wetlands Day (includes Wetlands talk, Waterfowl search, and watershed activities)

• Week 3 – April 11th – Outdoor Cooking and Migratory Birds

• Week 4 – May 2nd (6:30-8:30) – Nocturnal Naturalist – Night hike using echolocation, bonfire with smores.

Nature Co-Op Details:

• Once monthly meetings on FRIDAYS from February to May.
• Two groups of 30 students each will rotate through stations with similar-age peers (K-4 and 5+)
• Wilderness Station does encourage parents to stay and does not charge for parents.
• Wilderness Station programming will be from 9:30-11:45 for each meeting, with the exception of the May 2nd meeting.
• Students can pack their lunch, and Legacy will oversee lunch and extra playtime at the Pavillion after class is over.

Nature Co-Op Pricing:

The following fees apply for the LHRC Nature Co-Op:

• $145 for the spring semester. This includes your registration fee and your program fees.
