Legacy Lions Homeschool Sports Program

legacy lions homeschool athletic program

Legacy Homeschool Resource Center (LHRC) is excited to announce the launch of a brand new, Christ-centered homeschool sports program specifically designed for families in Rutherford County and surrounding areas. This initiative aims to provide homeschool students with opportunities to engage in competitive sports while prioritizing discipleship, teamwork, discipline, and physical fitness.

Starting this fall, Legacy HRC will offer the following teams for middle school students (5th-8th grade):

  • Boys and Girls Basketball Teams
  • Girls Softball Team
  • Boys Baseball Team
  • Co-ed Golf Team

This year, teams can expect to play against local private Christian schools as well as other homeschool programs. Next year, Legacy HRC plans to join the Tennessee State Independent Athletic Association (TSIAA) conference, expanding opportunities for competition and growth.

Legacy HRC expects to expand the sports program to include high school teams in the coming years, offering even more opportunities for student-athletes to develop their skills and compete at higher levels.

Don’t miss out on the opportunity to be part of the Legacy Lions family and participate in this exciting new chapter for homeschool sports in Rutherford County!

The sports program is open to all homeschool students in grades 5 through 8. Interested families can contact Legacy HRC at sports@legacyhrc.org for more information and to register.

Co-Ed Golf Team Information:

The spring golf program will be a precursor for our Legacy golf team, which will compete in the TSIAA League of Small Independent/Christian Schools next fall.
The goal is to begin putting together a competitive team by having several Legacy mini-teams compete in golf matches against each other to help prepare for tryouts for the fall season. We have enough interest in this program to be able to do this. However, I need further information to help me get a good grasp on how much developmental/instructional time we will need.
We plan to have one day a week of instructional (driving range/putting green) time and set several “competition days” throughout the spring, with tryouts for the fall team in May.
If you have a child who is interested in the Co-ed Golf Team, please fill out the form below:
